Re:
Wow, that's quite an extreme case. The diagnosis and support system in the UK at least seems to have improved a good deal over the years, as many on the teens forum seem to be getting much of the support they need, although this doesn't necessarily remove the problems of bullying and others. For ...

Hello, I am sorry to hear you are having difficulties. I used to have more problems with emotional regulation, as a result of my ADHD ( I have diagnoses of dyspraxia, ADHD & autistic traits). Emotional regulation is more associated with ADHD. 40%-50% of people with dyspraxia have ADHD. Mindfulness ...

Re: What are your experiences with Disability Employment Advisors?
My experience has been terrible, useless, unsympathetic.
I saw a disability employment advisor, earlier this year .
She could not help me , because I am self employed.
She said people who are neurodivegent are disproportionately self employed.

Dyspraxia Foundation forced to cease operations.
I am very sad to learn that the dyspraxia foundation no longer exists , due to low finances . It is sad , because people especially from non - traditional backgrounds, will find it harder to get support for dyspraxia. The NHS , apart from a little speech therapy, will probably provide no support for ...

diagnosis of dyspraxia on the NHS as a child
I know 2 people who are children, one in primary school, one aged 13. They are suspected to have dyspraxia. Can one obtain a dyspraxia on the NHS ? I think it might be possible for the primary school , but it is a postcode lottery. For the teen, it is much harder. I believe an adult diagnosis of ...

Difficulty to understand the finer points of dyspraxia
I have adult diagnoses of dyspraxia, ADHD and Autistic traits without any support. I have low self esteem regarding dyspraxia. I do not normally fall . I had an incident, making me think I do not formally understand dyspraxia, the coping mechanisms do not always work. I became sad . Does having ADHD ...

Re: Dyspraxia from a different professional
The reason might be that the GP thought, children grown out of dyspraxia. My GP had a son with dyspraxia I think the main reason is that there are no NHS services for adult dyspraxia in my area , very very few nationally . The lack of awareness of adult dyspraxia, a problem, childhood dyspraxia has ...
