Re: What is wrong with you
Well! I just saw the neuropsycholoogist today and nothings concrete but she said it sounds like it is dyspraxia. But she also said the bit of the brain causing my balance issues could also control the cognition type stuff, as in patients with tumours located in the cerebellum they have similar ...

Re: What is wrong with you
Ooh that sounds promising! Well obviously noone wants to have something wrong with them but if I could just get diagnosed with dyspraxia it would make me so happy, because then its something I know about not some unknown genetic weird thing that is unpredictable. I have no reflexes! I'm going for ...

Re: Have you been diagnosed?
hmm. Well I have not been diagnosed with dyspraxia, but I have been seeking diagnosis for about a year. I've always had problems that fit dyspraxia perfectly, and last year my mum admitted she thought I had it, so I put on an employment application that I had bad balance so they sent me off to ...

well, I have seen a neurologist about my balance difficulties and I can safely say at least the balance and coordination will get worse. He said about me that theres no way of telling when, maybe in 20s/30s maybe in 60/s/70s cos even normal people get worse at these things through aging so obviously ...

Mine did... well my dad refused to acknowledge a problem, and my mum wanted to tell me when I was 7 or so that she thought I had it so I could get tested etc. but she brought it up one parent's evening at school and dad/teachers guilted her into thinking it would be wrong to label me. Which I can ...

My dad doesn't have a clue and my mum is very vague about it. All she says is that I reached my milestones on target, I don't think she realy remembers that far back to be honest as she wouldn't have realised she shuld be watching for anything! My gene tests came back and it is not friedrichs ataxia ...

I just asked because with my ongoing search at hospital of what is wrong with me some scary things have popped up as possibilities due to stuff like balance and absent reflexes, and while dyspraxia is still one of the possibilities cos of all my other issues and I'd love for it to be something so ...

I had an MRI brain scan in December, I still haven't got results or been diagnosed with anything theres so many things with similar symptoms it takes ages for them to work it out. The MRI scanner is like a big tube, you lie on this bed type thing and it goes into the machine with you head first. It ...

Could I just give some advice to anyone who is planning on going to see their GP, not to just ask about dyspraxia but just to say that your balance and coordination are really bad and you were worried about why, because alot of GPs don't understand dyspraxia but they do understand that gait issues ...
