Try this- I have a little boy and I put a cork in the loo for him to aim at- it doesn't flush and it works! Works for my dyspraxia man too but his aim is ok!

I have been in this position lots of time- my husband has dyspraxia and I can so relate to the losing jobs, his dependency on me (to the point I do want to scream) and just feeling that no one understands.
