Well, looks like I'm getting somewhere :) We were told that since I want to be assessed for Asperger's as well we should contact ESPA (European Services for People with Autism). They do assessments, but it costs £1000-£1500. They also told us that we should go back to the GP with one of their leaf...

Trying to get an assessment...

OK, after coming to a full stop with the mental health services (I've just spent 6 weeks in an acute ward because my mental health deteriorated ) and coming out of it without a diagnosis apart from a "disordered personality" my partner and I want to find out exactly what's wrong with me, a...

I've worn glasses since I was 3 or 4, so have never known any different. I have a problem where one of my eyes is longsighted, the other shortsighted, so what limited depth perception I have completely disappears when I take off my glasses. I've also got astigmatism, so everything is blurred and in ...

Internet dating can work, but I'm not sure about dating agencies. You'd be amazed at how many learning differenced people you can fin don specialist forums/chatrooms (not including those especially for the learning difference!). A Sims 2 chat I go on has me, and a 13 year old boy who's Aspergers. Th...

Top ten things to do if you can get around the college firewall blocks on certain sites ;) 1. Chat :P 2. Look at websites they've deemed tasteless and offensive, but are actually really innocent (such as crazymeds.org). 3. Play games outside the hours of 12-2pm 4. Use a language translator 5. Use a ...

If dyspraxia and ADHD is on the Autistic spectrum then there could be that as a common link... none of the other three are dyspraxic though, and my two sisters are excellent at art. Me and Martin are much more into books and maths :)

I feel I've got a childish brain, and I tend to act like I'm still 14 or 15 (which has earned me a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder... hummm). I'm slightly jealous of my (extremely mobile) daughter, but very excited for her too! She can do things I've never been able to do (forward rolls...

I read absolutely everything- every sign, every notice, and I get upset if I can't read something for some reason. I also have a slight obsession with numbers (actually, it's a huge obsession, but I try and keep it to myself!). Whenever I look at numbers, I try and work out its meaning... for exampl...

I'm struggling with the square peg/round hole bit. Doesn't help I need a new program.
