Re: Hi Everyone.
Welcome to the forum Ingrid, like yourself I was 30 when finally getting my diagnosis apart from under different circumstances, and seems to be more common an age whereby people get thier diagnosis as well unless diagnosed in school/college at a younger age. I hope you find information and communica...

Re: I think i might have dyspraxia
Hi Susan, welcome to the forum, I personally done questionaires about the condition after catching the tv segment on dyspraxia awareness, and also speaking to my mother who had also seen the same thing in the early 2000's. then after about a year or so joined this forum. most questionaires I found w...

Re: communication on zoom
I think my hardest thing with zoom having to use it recently was the fact the main view kept changing from the main person like my course trainer to the last person to make a noise once I had sorted that out on the 1st or start of the 2nd course then it worked properly, but the course instructor cut...

Re: Worried about losing my job
Welcome to the forum Vcb90, I think the massive problem is that Dyspraxia itself is such a massive spectrum between person to person, and while has been in the Media a fair bit over the last 26 years more now than ever thanks to the likes of Daniel Radcliffe etc, it still doesn't paint a large enoug...

Welcome to the Forum Emily, sorry for my delayed response, but I just got off an eventful holiday that never stops, as my car is back in a garage for repairs for about the 8th time this year. I see you have made yourself at home here. if you need anything please feel free to ask myself or Tom.

Re: Associated newer additions? – Coping mechanism ideas?
to me personally it does sound to me like an OCD more than a dyspraxic thing, or a body heat issue. while we do fidget more in stress relatated situations it wouldn't be a constant fidget with hands, or not that I have really noticed myself. I would reccomend speaking to a doctor about it though, ma...

Re: Hello - need help
yeah I know this forum has short login periods, if you want to post something longer, what I tend to do is either copy and paste what I have written from a word document, or login, then hit the back button until it shows the page I want, then hit submit, but that is more likely to fail than writing ...

Welcome to the forum Dogheaded, finding out you are Dyspraxic is enough to send anyone over the edge, and leaves you in a very emotional turmoil. I know I found out when I was 30. it really messed me up bad, not to mention emotions running everywhere from second to second, not helped by the person I...

Re: Drinking and addictive behaviour
as for myself, then I am tea total for years at a time, I will have a drink, but lucky if I feel up to it more than 1 day a year. like it has been 2-3 years now since my last alcholic drink. my cousins came over from Australia, and boy could my cousin drink a sailor under the table, and couldn't und...

Re: Acquired dyspraxia
I think it was mid 80's that they started picking up on Dyspraxia, I was known by my schools for being a lazy/clumsy child, but my medical report in October 86 was that I had Dyspraxic Tendancies. but everything was present from severe verbal dyspraxia, to extremely slow hand writing speed, and the ...
