Re: Solo Travel
I love solo travel. I've travelled twice by myself to Florence, and to Madeira. Picking up bits of languages helps to get by. I do get lost a lot, so there was one day i walked 12 miles because I got lost, but i dont allow myself to get stressed out by it. You have to guage your own safety of course ...

Re: Work issues
Sorry Tom, i am bad at replying. *Update - i am in a union. I had my occy health assessment and they made loads of recommendations for accommodating me. My manager said that they couldn't make those accommodations but will find me another role within the company. This is now December. I keep having ...

Work issues
I've been struggling with my work over the past 9 months as the role changed a lot. And it's a lot of chopping and changing which is something i struggle with. I like to do a lot of the same thing before moving onto the next task. I made my boss aware of my recent dyspraxia diagnosis and provided ...

Re: I'm Dyspraxic, now what?
Thanks Tom. I don't think I have any emotions towards it all really. It isnt a big revelation to me, and it's an explanation to how my life has been, and why I've been struggling now. They say you go through the 5 stages of grief. But I had already thought about the "what if I was diagnosed 30 years ...

I'm Dyspraxic, now what?
Hi everyone, I'm a bit confused. Got my dyspraxia diagnosis yesterday. At the assessment I was told to do nothing for a month. But at the same time there are recommendations and reading lists? So I'm not sure. It's a bit conflicting really. The reason why I got the diagnosis is because the dyspraxia ...

Re: You know you're dyspraxic when
You know you're dyspraxic when you lose your front door key because you didnt put it back in its place after letting someone in, and thought "meh it'll be fine" at the time. Cue one week later, still not found it. Luckily I have a side door...

Re: Fatigue from Dyspraxia - Common?
I used to sleep so much as a kid. But as I got older, sometimes I struggle to sleep, so there are weekends where Im tuckered out, and need to spend most of the day in and out of sleep to recharge. Sometimes after work I need naps because I'm so exhausted. It can be hard to keep a routine because of ...

Re: What are your dyspraxia symptoms
Been thinking about this as I have my assessment soon at age 38, and been writing everything down so I have it ready. Childhood I used to eat with my knife and fork opposite to the "normal way" until the headteacher corrected me. Still get confused between right and left. Couldnt tie laces til age 8 ...

Hiya from Scotland
Hi everyone. So I've fallen through the cracks a little. When i was a kid, I was taken to the doctor as I kept falling over. And I'm pretty bad at time management too. Got told I was clumsy and would grow out of it. Well now I am 37, and yesterday I fell over. I am looking to learn from some of you ...
