Re: Awareness-raising
It’s a shame about the Dyspraxia Foundation, though, I didn’t realize it had closed down.

Re: What are your experiences with Disability Employment Advisors?
One of them really pushed me into a job that didn’t fit my needs at all, and it was rough. It sounds like you had a similar experience where they didn’t quite understand your situation. I’ve had better luck with DEAs who took the time to understand my strengths and limitations, helping me find work t ...

Re: Careers
First off, it's really cool that you're thinking ahead and exploring your options despite the challenges you're facing. You can still make an impact in health or education, just in ways that play to your strengths. Have you thought about non-clinical roles in healthcare or education? You could be a ...

Re: Best phone
I can relate to dropping my phone a lot—I’ve been there too. I used to have a Samsung, but I switched to an iPhone mainly because I found it more durable and faster, like you mentioned. The iPhone’s build quality is pretty solid, and I noticed a big difference in how it holds up to drops, even witho ...

Re: Website on social skills
I can suggest checking out some well-known platforms like SkillsYouNeed or MindTools, which offer guidance on various interpersonal skills. They're not specifically for dyspraxia but are quite comprehensive in their approach. As you continue your search and learning, if you find any good videos or ...

Re: What are your experiences with Disability Employment Advisors?
I had a tough time with my DEA too. They pushed me into roles that didn’t suit me, and I found I did better in jobs I chose myself.

Re: where I went wrong in my last job
It might help to be more upfront about your condition next time, so managers can offer better support. In the future, try to clarify tasks and ask for help if something’s unclear.

Re: Dyspraxia and emotions
I'm in the same boat with dyspraxia and emotions. One thing that helps me is having a routine to fall back on when things get overwhelming.

Re: I need advice
I tried to my website by myself but quickly realized it was more complex than I thought. I ended up getting help from a company that not only handled the design but also emphasized the importance of a thorough website audit. A website audit is a full analysis, which helps understand the true current ...

Re: What is your job?
I'm currently in digital marketing, which blends my love for tech with creative content creation. It’s always a challenge but very rewarding to see projects come to life. If you're venturing into full-time writing and need some tips on managing projects or collaborations, especially as you scale y ...

Re: how to follow recipes better
I also find it easier to follow recipes when I can listen rather than read. Using videos or text-to-speech definitely helps me stay on track, especially when I'm multitasking in the kitchen. One of my go-to recipes is a Cajun sausage and chicken jambalaya that I found really helpful: https://www ...
Re: Studying
Hey, I’ve been there! When I was juggling college and work, I found that splitting study sessions into shorter chunks really helped. I’d study for 30 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. Also, try using a planner to keep track of what you need to do—it made a huge difference for me. You might also wa ...

Re: Worried about a capability meeting at work
Document everything and try talking to HR with your evidence. It might also help to look for workplace advocacy groups for support. Hang in there and keep pushing for what you need.
